April is Senior Hunger Awareness Month

Ideas for how to acknowledge Senior Hunger Awareness Month:

• Proclamation (or resolution)

  • Have a local governing body (City Council, County Commission, etc.) help raise awareness by proclaiming April as Senior Hunger Awareness Month.​

  • If you work or live in Potter or Randall county, join us for the following proclamations:

  • If you work or live in one of the other 24 counties in the Texas Panhandle, use the request and proclamation templates to request your local governing body proclaim April as Senior Hunger Awareness Month:

• Talk about Senior Hunger

  • Ask your local civic groups (e.g. Kiwanis Club, Lions Club, Optimist, Rotary Club, Soroptimist, etc.)​ if you can be the program for one of their meetings in April

  • Create a social media post (or two) to share during the month of April.​​
